Two movies that sit uneasily together in the one frame: a documentary about the people of a small Texan town who can't believe a kind man, something of a benefactor, should be held to account for a murder he undoubtedly committed; the other a drama about a creepy character who kills an irritating old woman without missing a sanctimonious beat, including sanctimonious remorse.
